A thought provoking article by Dezeen discussing why he struggles to hire young staff as schools are failing to teach them how to make products.

At the core of it, Ive mentions that too often schools structure their courses to avoid costly workshops, and in substitute allow student to explore their design through a computer interface and renderings. Often making ” a dreadful design look really palatable”.

Here at Blender, we believe the workshop sits hand in hand with our desks as it gives us a powerful understanding around the prototypes and studies we conduct, for us to learn, test, validate, and explore.
